October: CEO Update

An update from AgPlus Diagnostics CEO Fiona Marshall:

As we have passed the autumn equinox, we say goodbye to summer and hello Autumn. We will all be disappointed to hear that MEDICA will now be a virtual trade show rather than allowing us to have the face to face time we had anticipated to showcase our new Agilis™ platform. However, AgPlus are still planning their own virtual trade show and 1-2-1 follow ups to celebrate 5 years since the current Board incorporated the AgPlus Holdings business, we will be in touch soon to let you know more details.

Pre-production prototype

We have now received our pre-production prototypes from our partner Surface technology International, these are being tested in our laboratory and we plan to have some more pre-production models before the end of the year to share with Key Partners in Europe, US and China for usability and clinical verification trials.

AgPlus are proud that our innovative work has been recognised in Science in Parliament Vol 76 No 2. Ian Taylor MBE writes about UK R&D investment by the government and highlights UKI2S portfolio companies such as AgPlus that have been lucky enough to get funding support.

Covid-19 Virus

Further Grant Success- AgPlus is pleased to announce that we have won a further government grant to develop its COVID-19 assays, one for antigen detection and a serological assay to monitor immune response.

AgPlus’s latest success has been from the UKRI call for ideas to address COVID-19. UKRI works in partnership with universities, research organisations, businesses, charities, and government to create the best possible environment for research and innovation to flourish. This £175,000 grant will allow us to finalise our assays on our new Eibis tube assay platform and subsequently to transfer the tests onto sealed cartridge Agilis™ platform.

Hope you enjoyed this update and please do let me know if you have any further question or would like to collaborate with AgPlus.

Stay Safe
