March: CEO update

An update from AgPlus Diagnostics CEO Fiona Marshall:

Well, the crocuses are starting to show their colours and we are working our way towards Easter, this means longer days and brighter nights and I am sure you will all agree that in the current circumstances this will make our walking exercise much more enjoyable!!!

It has been over a year since the COVID 19 pandemic hit and the world went into lock down, AgPlus has been lucky enough to continue operating, with our dedicated team working stringently to government guidelines to ensure that we could carry on delivering our important customer development projects and our Agilis™ Point of Care project.

We have made great progress since the beginning of the year with transfer of assays on to our cartridge and reader system. We have several interesting assays in the pipeline in the Gastrointestinal sector, the infectious disease space and oncology. We are planning to start demonstrating out platform in Q2 with key partners and this will be a significant milestone for AgPlus.

AgPlus, is continuing to work to develop our point of care platform to detect bacterial infections to minimise the use of antibiotics and support the fight against AMR. Read about our latest success here.

This month we have celebrated Women in Science and International Women’s day, read the CEO spotlight published by UK Innovation and Science Seed Fund here.

AgPlus is proud to have a diverse workforce and to support women progress their careers in Science.

Thank you for taking the time to read this month’s update, I hope you enjoyed it and please do let me know if you have any further question or would like to collaborate with AgPlus.

Stay Safe
