Introducing our new Product Laboratory Technician, Michael Daley.
A BIT ABOUT Michael
Having previously worked as a Laboratory Technician within the pharmaceutical and health care industry, Michael is a welcome addition to our small team to help in the day to day running of the lab.
COMPANY ROLE
I am the Laboratory Technician at AgPlus Diagnostics. I work in manufacturing and support the Senior Production Scientist in a range of projects varying from contributing to the Assay development projects or checking Quality of the readers manufactured. I also support in the day to day running of the lab, creation of buffers for manufacturing and R&D, or ensuring lab stock is maintained and recorded.
STARTING WITH AG+
I have been with the company a little over a month and I have learnt so much. I am growing with more confidence day by day in the role. Having had previous lab experience, it has been insightful understanding the AgPlus Technology and it motivates me more to contribute to success of these devices.
BEST PART OF THE JOB
Best part of the job, working across a range of departments, one day I will be making cartridges and testing readers, another day I will be R&D making silvers and magnetic particles. Having a range of responsibilities keeps things exciting!
THE YEAR AHEAD
I hope to undertake a part time degree in Biological Sciences to develop my learning and develop in the company. I look forward to seeing the growth of the company and the development of this technology as we come out of COVID.
